This song reminds me very easily of games like Gargoyle's Quest on the GameBoy and the NES, like a town theme in the ghoul realm or something. Nice bit of nostalgia there.

I appreciate the flow that this song has, by that I mean that it easily moves from one section of the song to another without any form of noticeable break. It works well musically too, the only thing I don't think quite matches up is the idea of a JRPG - this I think would fit much better with an American-style game, such as Halo or the Bionic Commando XBOX 360 game. Otherwise a very well-made piece of music, well done!
Contrary to what the tag says this song is not the BGM for the intro stage, rather it plays before the title screen appears.
Still a good remastering, though.
8-bit or not, this song makes me think of a challenge but as though you know what you're getting yourself into ahead of time. I'd call this a boss battle theme myself, but not something that just comes out of nowhere - something you approach with intent to overcome.
Too march-y for FF5, which felt more wild in comparison to say FF2 or FF4, but still a really good remix of the original.
Not a bad little theme, though I don't think it works as a city theme unless it's heavily modernized. Don't know how I feel about the repeat marker being in such an odd place, like it repeats after 2.176 measures of silence or some weird number; it'd probably sound better if it repeated after a more solid amount of time, like an individual measure or two to even things out.
When I listen to this I see a bright forest covered in a slight fog in my mind. Less of a world map theme and more of a nature-driven area theme IMO.
"I do not know where this path may lead, but I will admire its beauty as I forge ahead."
That's what runs through my mind when I listen to this song. Excellent tune, though you might want to turn the loop option on by default - it flows effortlessly from end to beginning.
It's a great rendition of the song, but it wasn't my favorite of the 3 (this one actually being the second, not the third). The first one spoke out as "beautiful open world", this one (#2) had the feel of an "uphill battle", and third was... well, "we're screwed". Still a great song!
Always looking for new ideas for a science project, a book, a game, whatever. Good inspiration is always a plus.
